Yes, Starlight is entirely free to use. There are no account opening fees, AUM fees, or monthly fees. You only need to pay for gas fees, and 0.01% on every crypto trade transaction (vs. 0.10 - 0.50% with traditional exchanges like Gemini or Coinbase).

When you buy or sell crypto with Starlight, we make a small cut of that transaction (0.01%, to be exact). In addition, whenever you spend with your Starlight card, we get a small cut of the fees that Visa charges merchants, known as interchange fees.

We pass the quotes from our liquidity provider directly to you (with the addition of 0.01% fees for our platform). In most cases, you’ll find that our quotes are either better than or competitive with other exchanges, depending on the time and volume of the day.

Please message us if you need higher limits for deposits or withdrawals. These limits are generically set for all accounts to minimize fraud risks, and we can easily raise these limits for you if you let us know in advance.

At the moment, we don’t have a formal referral program. If you know someone who might be a great fit for Starlight, please feel free to refer them to us to skip the waitlist. There might also be a small surprise in the future for those who help us with referrals 👀.
