Introducing Antares & Our New Corporate Cards

More ways to spend your funds, and contextualize your data.

When we set out to build Starlight earlier this year, our number one focus was to make it as seamless as possible for organizations to hold, send, and receive funds across different accounts and wallets. Since onboarding our first customer, we learned that no matter how crypto-native a team was, many of their expenses were still transacting in fiat, so it’s important for these teams to have an easy way to spend crypto without having to go through an exchange.

Today, I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new corporate cards and our latest OS version, Antares.

With the introduction of cards, you can now spend your fiat and crypto everywhere Visa is accepted, without going through off-ramps or centralized exchanges. The cards are funded by your Starlight checking account or crypto wallets, and transactions are settled in the corresponding asset—ETH, BTC, USDC, or other ERC-20 tokens. You can also track expenses and set spending limits all within Starlight’s platform. These cards are first available to US-based customers, with plans for an international rollout in the coming months.

In addition to our card launch, we’re excited to introduce Antares, the latest version of our OS. This release centers around significant improvements to our ledger, unlocking new abilities to sync, streamline, and contextualize your transaction data. We’ve upgraded the treasury and portfolio views, improved categorization, and added contacts, malicious transaction detection, and native support for MATIC (ERC-20). You can view full release notes here.

With what’s been recently going on in the industry, it is important to point out that Starlight has been built from the ground up to be fully compatible with custodial and non-custodial wallets such as Gnosis Safe. Our goal from day one was to provide a flexible solution that adapted to how you choose to manage your treasury. For those who want simplicity, our hot wallets are the easiest for businesses to on/off-ramp crypto. For those who wish to have complete control of their funds, businesses can plug their non-custodial wallets into Starlight and use the same payment rails and software to manage their funds.

The launch of corporate cards and Antares is a significant step towards bringing crypto to mainstream adoption for organizations, and we’re just getting started.
